‘Standing with trophy, that's what we want to achieve’ - Jos Buttler flaunts confidence ahead of semi-final against India
England and team India will lock horns in the second semi-finals of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on November 10, Thursday at the Adelaide Oval. The venue is one place the Three Lions are familiar with as the side seven years ago faced a shock defeat at the hands of Bangladesh in the 2015 Cricket World Cup at the same place.
"I think we all want to win things, [we] certainly don't want to be a team that just says we played a great style of cricket. You want to have tangible things that you have achieved throughout that, as well,” said Buttler on the eve of the semi-final clash against India at Adelaide as quoted by Cricbuzz.
We've played must-win games before: Jos Buttler
The skipper further said that the pressure would be slightly less as the side has already felt the air of what a knockout fixture feels like ahead of the last four fixture.
"We've played in two must-win games just before this, as well, so we're used to that feeling of being in knockout cricket already. So, we feel that we've gained some good confidence from those matches. The team feels in a really good space, and everyone is really excited for what's going to be a great night," Buttler added.
